Your jee main percentile is good. You can definitely get seat in any NIT bases on your cutoff. You can choose the best college based on your category and cutoff using college predictor.

You cannot get any NIT based on your CAT rank but you can definitely apply for a couple of NIT's if you are from the home state.

These NIT's are NIT Durgapur whose cutoff rank for obc-ncl candidates of the home state is around 55,000 and NIT Hamirpur whose cutoff for the same category is 1,50,000.

But, you cannot get any Top NIT's because you need to score a rank below 20,000 if you are from obc-ncl in JEE Mains.

I regret to inform you that with such a score its difficult for you to get admission into top nits like trichy ,warangal or suratkal but though you can get admission into nits like nit delhi , nit uttrakhand
And rest all north east nits .
But though if you have sone home state quota tgen you can even get in nit bhopal or nagpur with metallurgical or mining department.

Expecting any branch with such a rank cannot get you your desired branch.
So either you take part in any other councelling or you can take a year drop to work harder for next year jee.
