Hii aspirant..

Mining engineering is a rare core branch where there are not much opportunities. Although due to very limited number of colleges offering mining engineering in India like IIT is NIT and few other private colleges one can expect to get good placements if is from any of these prestigious colleges.

Since the colleges are few the number of pass out students in this core branch is also few does if you are pass out from good college then you can expect to get placements.

Some of the main recruiters include-

  • GSI (Geological Survey of India)
  • Archaeological Department
  • Oil and Natural Gas Exploration Firms
  • Coal and Mineral Quarries
  • OIL (Oil India Limited)
  • ONGC
  • Refineries
  • Coal India Limited
  • Private Mineral Processing and Extracting Firms
  • SAIL
  • TATA Steel
  • R&D Labs and Firms

Other than this you have also opportunity to qualify GATE exam and then get good government jobs in PSU'S.

Hope it helps.

Best of luck for your future.
