Hello Govind,

Generic Elective course is the inter-disciplinary course where students are required to study four subjects in their first and second year i.e. one subject per semester.

You can change your subject in each semester as per your interest. But I would suggest you to choose the same subject in all four semesters for better understanding.

These Generic Elective subjects are beneficial in various ways as -

1. It helps you to choose best combinations of subject.

2. Suppose if you have taken same GE in all your four semesters then you can further go for higher studies in that.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck !
