Hello aspirant!!! You have to fill out a separate registration form for jee mains which is completely independent of your 12th boards. There is no role of 12th boards for appearing for jee although getting a minimum percentage in 12th boards is a prerequisite to qualify the jee exam. So you can apply for jee whose registration is not depended on your 12th marksheet. but then there is a portal opened in jossa about top percentile in 12th board ti get into iits

Top 20 percentile also happens to be an eligibility criteria for jee. But to get admission in IIT, jee Advanced ranking is the only thing that is considered. Boards is necessary to qualify but advanced ranking is the only thing that can get u a seat in iit
