Data Science comes under Technology which covers streams like computer science or Information technology. IF you want to pursue data science then you have to choose one stream from both. To choose anyone you have to give engineering entrance after 12 which can be JEE main or your state engineering entrance exam.

If you score well and your rank is good for sure you will get into good and top university in your state. To consider in whole, IIT is top and best for engineering. To get an admission you have to score best in jee advance and to appear jee advance you have to qualify jee mains with a good score so that you will be selected for jee advance. To get a good score in jee mains, you have to study physics,chemistry and maths of your intermediate i.e. +2 1st year and 2nd year. Both years subjects syllabus has to covered very well so that you can solve any question you are given. You have excel in PCM.
