See for M.Tech entry in Anna University through TANCET there is a seperate counselling procedure named as TANCA and it has two individual intake processes one being TANCET normalised marks and other on GATE score. So you basically do not need to compare both of them there is different criteria for calculating Normalised marks also the performance in the exams can differ drastically. So they should not be compared.
