According to the students who appeared for the test across different cities, while physics section had majority questions from class 11 syllabus, Chemistry had about 70 per cent of questions from Class 12 syllabus, making the latter relatively easier for test takers to connect with. Mathematics was moderate with about equal share of questions from both class 11 and class 12. While on one hand, the exam was comparatively tougher this year, on the other, JEE Main 2016 Cut off may remain on lower end. Section wise Analysis- Physics The overall difficulty level of Physics has been termed as moderate to tough by the experts and among the 3 subjects, this was the toughest. Chemistry According to the test takers, Chemistry was the easiest among the 3 subjects. Mathematics The difficulty level of Mathematics has been marked as moderate to tough.
