Hello,

Forests play a vital role in maintaining the balance. Today deforestation has resulted in the gradual decline in the forest areas, resulting in loss of habitats, mass extinction of various species of flora and fauna, soil erosion, climate change and global warming.

Here are some points explaining the benefits that a forest offers:

  • Forests absorb harmful green house gases thereby reducing the accelerating speed at which global warming happens.
  • The roots of the trees hold the soil together, thereby preventing soil erosion.
  • It provides as a buffer, sheltering us  during disasters like floods and rainfalls.
  • Providing habitat to more than half of the world’s land-based species

So, being a responsible human being, it is our duty and right to protect the forest and make the world abetter place to live in

Hello Sudesh!

I will surely try to help you with your query, since you sent a request for this.

Forests are a very vital part of the ecosystem. As forests consists of a vary large no.of trees, they are carbon reservoirs of the Earth. When forests grow, carbon is removed from the atmosphere and absorbed in wood, leaves and soil. Of course, forests do support our ecological systems in many ways, like they purify and filter the air by taking harmful gases and release fresh oxygen, and also attracts cloud and are a serious explanation for rains. It also provides us various other ecological services like precipitation recycling, cooling, water purification, infiltration and groundwater recharge. This helps in moderating the global climate.

Forests regulate climate at local, regional and continental scales, by producing atmospheric moisture and rainfall, and controlling temperature. So, they maintain an intermediate climate for suitable communities to thrive and flourish. They regulate ecosystems, protect biodiversity, play an integral part in the carbon cycle, support livelihoods, and can help drive sustainable growth. So, overally forests promote ecological diversity and support climate compatibilty for better growth of life around different parts of the world. Therefore, forests help stabilize the ecological system and climate.

Hope this answer helps!
