Hello Aspirant,

There is no special way to join any ayurvedic college for wards of ex armed serviceman. You have to go through the usual procedures of registration and appearing for examinations. However, there might be age relaxation and also score relaxation for an ex army ward. But even if you have this quota, your chances of getting into a good college is not 100% as there is a lot of competition. Therefore, it is suggested to try and enroll your name in the merit list to avoid last minute chaos.

Good Luck.

Hi

Their is no reservation made for it still.

MD in Ayurveda is a 3-year, full-time post-graduate course divided into 6 semesters. Ayurveda or Ayurvedic science deals with the study of health care covering the broad areas of good lifestyle & wellness. Ayurveda, besides being a medical science, is the Science of life. The job of an Ayurvedic professional is challenging, keeping in view the wide range of incurable diseases newly emerging, and the failure of other systems of medicine, such as Allopathy, to address them.

Ayurveda is India's traditional, natural system of medicine that has been practiced in the country for more than 5,000 years. Ayurveda provides an integrated approach to preventing and treating illnesses through lifestyle interventions and natural therapies. The Ayurvedic theory states that all disease begins with an imbalance or stress in the individual's consciousness. Lifestyle interventions are a major ayurvedic preventive and therapeutic approach.

As per the discipline, the inherent theory of Tridosha states that all life can be expressed in terms of the primary elements of air, fire and water; and that it is the imbalance of these elements that brings about illness. To restore these balances, Ayurveda has developed several natural therapies such as nutrition plans, massage, exercise (yoga), aromatherapy, colour therapy, music, meditation, and ethical living.

Ayurvedic medicine is holistic, which means viewing the body and mind as a whole. Ayurveda not only treats a person's physical complaints, but it also changes lifestyle practices to help maintain or improve health.

According to Ayurveda, the five elements of nature combine in the body as three components known as Vatta, Pitta, and Kapha. These Doshas relate closely to the basic elements of nature and to specific functions of the body. A balance of these Doshas is thought to be required for optimal health.

The average annual course fee charged in India ranges between INR 20,000 and 10 lacs, depending upon the institute offering the course. The average annual salary offered in India to successful postgraduates of the course ranges between INR 2 and 10 lacs, depending upon the candidates expertise in the field.
