UPTU has been renamed as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) . The admission process for engineering courses under AKTU has undergone some changes.
The primary criteria for admission into engineering colleges affiliated with AKTU is your performance in the JEE Main exam. Based on your JEE Main rank, you will participate in the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) process. During the counseling process, you will fill out a choice list of colleges and branches you prefer. Based on your rank and choices, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and branch. If you accept the allotted seat, you need to report to the college with necessary documents within the specified timeframe.
