Yes it is a good govt college.

It is ranked 3rd after Sgsits Indore and IET dav Indore . But these govt colleges are very good as compared to other states govt colleges.

Top -4/5 colleges of mp are very good.

SO take admission there without any hesitation .

Placement is also good . For CSE/ece placement is very good

Dear Swati

It's really a very good College and also it's having good placement record with decent no of PhDs and infrastructure too. So it's your turn now to study in that.

All the best.

Infrastructure : JEC is quite good in this aspect, you will find each department has its own building along with the required labs. However, to what extent these labs are beneficial is debatable

Academics : There is not much difference between RGPV and JECs syllabus, though JEC is autonomous but still you will find the course is almost same. In each of the department there are ample of senior faculties, but during my 4 years we were taught most of the subjects by ad hoc faculties with the exception of 12 subjects atmost.

Atmosphere : Now this might be subjective, because it largely depends on the respective batch, but from my experience you wont find a study oriented atmosphere in JEC, you will have to toil to gain knowledge.Do not assume good grades = knowledge, not always true, but always fetch as much as you can.

Placements : JEC has good record, placement wise, although 95% of the companies offer 33.5lpa. Your branch will not matter much, most service IT companies allow all the branches to sit in their aptitude exam provided you clear their 10th-12th-CGPA criteria with no active backlog.

I don't agree with dinesh

He is just a student.

I have one of my friends passed out from iet.

So I can tell correctly.

  • Iet is an average college
  • Placement are also average and depends on branch
  • Most students get placements off campus.
  • Infrastructure is also not that good.
Just give a thought before getting into college.

Best of luck for your secure and bright future.

All the best
