The MPhil programme duration typically is 1–2 years for full-time students and around 2-3 years for part time students.  It involves a research-focused study with a thesis, but is shorter than a PhD. The duration of the PhD programme can be anywhere between 3 to 5 years for full time students and  5–7 years for part time students.
