For admissions to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs;
Candidates need to have secured minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
- For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
JEE Main 2018 Qualifying Cutoff-
Min Marks- 74
Max Marks- 350

Scores above 220 have great chances in general category for all NITs and IIITs and GFTIs.
For Private engineering colleges, scores in 12th expected to be 50% aggregate and above and in Jee Mains rnaks within 1lakh can have decentchances
