To get admission into top NITs, you need to score around 200-250 marks for branches of your choice. This is just an estimation for general category students. For other reservation category students, you need to score around 150-200 marks for a decent branches in top NITs.

As competition is increasing rapidly cut-offs for different competitive exams are also increasing accordingly. For B.Tech through NITs you have to appear for JEE-Main exam conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA).
For getting admission in good NITs you need to score 250+ in JEE-Main examination.

If you want to get into NIT you should have a good percentile in your JEE .
The marks differ every year so you should keep analyzing the marks in prder to get a rough idea about the required percentile.This year the cutoff JEE main was around 89 Percentile for open and for obc 75 percentile
