Hi Aspirant

You need to score more than 550 marks to get seats in a medical college. With 550 marks definately you will get admission in any college. It also depends on the state having more medical colleges .In that case student having more than 530 will be sufficient.

You can see previous year trends like opening and closing rank of the colleges taking admission  here by visiting the link  :     https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off

Hope this helps you.

There are many parameters that will determine how much you should score to get a Government Medical College.

Parameters-

1. Difficulty level of Question Paper
The more difficult a question paper is, the lesser the cut off will be. An example to prove this would be to compare NEET 2017 and NEET 2018. Experts claim and even myself (who qualified NEET 2018 and got a Govt seat) that question paper of 2018 was comparatively difficult. Therefore the cut off reduced by 15-20 marks as compared to NEET 2017.

2. Number of Candidates giving the exam
Increase in number of candidates means increase in competition and more the competition is, more will be the cut off. It has been observed that number of candidates appearing for NEET is increasing.  An example to prove this would be drastic increase in cut off from 2017. In 2016, a mark of 500+ was considered safe but in 2017, even 525+ marks was not a safe score. The reason being increase in number of candidates.

3. State you belong to
Cut off will obviously be lower in a state where there is a lot of medical colleges.

My suggestion -
Aim for 540-550+ for a sure shot selection. Anyways you can comment below your state where you live in, and I will suggest you the exact marks you must aim for, because you now know cut off mark is also dependent on state.

Thank You
Best of Luck

Hello aspirant,

I can help you with better information.

Now we can't predict the exact score in neet for mbbs.

Because shortlisting may done according to the number of students qualified and category wise (category play key role).

If you are willing to get MBBS then try for top 1000 rank in the  attempt.

Use the below link for more information about cutoff score
