Hi aspirant,

JEE Main is the gateway to NITs and other colleges accepting it. In order to be eligible to write JEE advanced a candidate has to qualify JEE Main first. It is conducted by NTA from last year. From last year percentile based system came into effect.

In order to get 95 percentile in JEE Main you have to score around 95 to 105. This is based on last year data and may change this year because the examination pattern has been change now.

Dear candidate

We cannot exactly tell about the connection between the marks and percentile as percentile depends on lot of factors like how many students attended the exam and the highest marks and lowest marks so, we cant caluculate it exactly but we can predict it according to the previous year rank vs percentile trends so, according to that you need to score atleast 111 to 140 marks to get more than 95 percentile in JEe Mains exam which means you have to score a rank around 50,000 in order to get percentile above than 95 so, inorder to get more marks you will have to prepare well and for effective preparation and performance you just have to follow a few preparation tips and have an idea about the weightage of topics in each subject so, for that visit the below mentioned link to know about eligibility criteria, weightage and other factors
