Hi,

There are a total of 230 questions for the NEST exam including the PCMB section and students can score a maximum of 180 marks. There will be negative marking per wrong answer for every section other than the general section. You can get full marks only if you make all the options correct. Each wrong option selected will be having negative marking which is not specified generally but depends on each question.

For example, if a question has four options and 3 correct answers, you may get 3 marks if you answer all the 3 options. If you mark only 2 correct options, you may get 2 marks. If you mark 3 correct answers and 1 wrong answer you will get 3-1 that is 2 marks( the mark weightage of options is not specified by the NEST board. This is just an example). The general section questions carry 3 marks each with only one option right and no negative marking.
