Hello dear
As according to my experience and after watching the last year's trends you need to score marks between 140-160 out of 300 to get a percentile between 97 to 98.
This is just a prediction based on the some assumptions . Actual situation may vary and it depends on the number of students appearing in exam, difficulty level of exam , students preparation etc.
So just do your preparation and hope for the best .
Good luck

Priyanshu, your percentile depends on your performance as in the percentage of students against whom you scored better. For example, if you have to score 97 percentile, it means you should have written better and scored better than 97 percentage of the people who have appeared for JEE Mains session. In January session 869010 Candidates appeared for the exam and it might be 12,00,000 for July session. And cut offs also change depending on this. For scoring this percentile you should atleast score 330 marks and more in JEE Mains. For preparing for JEE, we have Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/
