The category change portal was reopened for 2 days so a lot of students might have moved to the ews category as well. Earlier 37000 students had registered under ews.It might have reached 60000 atleast.

As per the report, the following are the list of numbers category-wise:
General candidates - 4.72 lakhs
OBC candidates - 3.67 lakhs
SC candidates- 0.89 lakh
ST candidates - 0.36 lakh
Registered candidates- 9.65 lakhs,
Males candidates- 6.85 lakhs
Females candidates- 2.8 lakhs
Transgenders candidates- 38
Appeared Candidates - 8,74,469
