Hello. There are in total 24 papers for Gate 2019 including life science (code- XL).

The subjects for life sciences includes Chemistry (P) and General Aptitude as compulsory subjects. 

Apart from these two subjects any one subject from Q to U needs to be selected from the list below.

• Biochemistry (Q)
• Botany (R)
• Microbiology (S)
• Zoology (T)
• Food Technology (U)
