Hello

It's quite difficult to predict percentile required in JEE mains to be eligible for JEE advanced as it keeps changing depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc

But if we look at past year trends, for example jee mains 2019 qualifying cutoff to be eligible for  JEE advanced is given below

General :-89.7548849

GEN-EWS :- 78.2174869

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) :-74.3166557

Scheduled Caste (SC) :- 54.0128155

Scheduled Tribe (ST):-44.3345172

PwD :- 0.11371730

So , if you belong to general category you may  need at least  90 percentile in jee mains to be eligible for JEE advanced 2020

Thank you

The qualifying cutoffs of Jee Main depend on various factors like no. Of candidates appeared, difficulty of paper, highest score obtained etc. And these quantities keep changing every year, so there is no fixed cutoff. Also it depends on individual's category. Last year's qualifying cutoff was-  for CRL- 89.7548849, General EWS category- 78.2174869, OBC- NCL- 74.3166557, Scheduled caste- 54.0128155, Scheduled Tribe- 44.3345172 and PwD candidates-  0.11371730. Now going by previous few years' data, it can be predicted that if you are from general category, then scoring at least 85 percentile in Jee main, can make you eligible for Jee Advanced.
