Dear Nimisha, there are a total of 2521 Medical Seats available for State Counselling. These are Categorised into 70% Regional and 30% State. The Regional seats are for canfidates who belong to Vidharbha, Marathwada and Rest of Maharashtra. The rest fall under State Quota. In 2017, the no.of seats for Open Category were 286 approximately. And in 2018, 3 new Medical colleges were added and 300 seats were added to the whole lot. Out of which assuming few seats came to General Category, over all there are less than 350 Medical Seats for General Category in Maharashtra. Please visit the MCI official website for seats per college.
