For all external students Delhi Public School's criteria for admission in class 11th is that one should get minimum 90% in each of the subjects English , maths and science and with that one should also have an aggregate percentage above 90 in the subjects English, Hindi/Sanskrit, Social Studies, Science, Maths.

Every year DPS Ranchi takes an aptitude test for the external students in the month of April and the form of this aptitude test can be online in between the month of December to March. If a student qualifies the aptitude test then only he/she will be eligible for admission by the above criteria. If one qualifies in the aptitude test but fails to get the required marks in boards then his/her admission would be cancelled.

One can also go for direct admission without giving aptitude test. The criteria for direct admission is that, you should have any one of these qualifications:

1. NTSE stage I qualifier
2. RMO qualifier
3. State topper (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in your board exam.
4. 1st and 2nd state rank holder in science or maths olympiad
5. 95% above in board exam (first come first serve)

If you fail in the aptitude test then also you can go for direct admission provided you are fulfilling the above criteria for direct admission.
