Dear Aditi, Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all who appeared for the examination. In other words, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of candidates. The percentile score is nothing but the percentage of students who scored that number or below that number. For example, when we say 80 percentile scored 50 it means 80 percentage of Candidates either scored 50 or below 50. The percentile score of a Candidate is calculated using the formula:

100 X Number of candidates appeared in the „Session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate/ Total number of the candidates appeared in the Session
