First of all,have a proper information of the topics in the syllabus.Note them down and plan the time you would require to go through them.
After that,have a proper book relating to that subject.The book from Arun Sharma facilitates very well for this purpose.Try to understand the concepts and solve as many questions as you can.
After that,appear for mock tests as they give you an introduction to the real exam scene.
