Spend first five minutes(exactly) in reading rules and going through whole paper.Solve any instantly solvable questions, especially theoretical/concept-based ones. Now start attempting with a proper strategy,  which shouldn't be pre-meditated.This ensures, change in pattern doesn't affect you negatively.
