For an examination to be cracked you need to prepare well for it from the starting. There are many students who prepare for the same exam for the same seat. It is not possible for someone to prepare in the last moment and crack it. Even if you do, it will not provide you with the best result. No one can help you in preparing it like this. So study with your full concentration. Sit on you study table and plan a routine. Follow it thoroghly.  Study for around 1 hr and take a rest for 5mins. Drink water to freshen your mind. Listen to a music in the 5min break. Your brain needs rest for a while and then continue study. Follow your routine positively. Preplan your day.  Solve past year papers and quizes. Keep at least 1-2 months for revision. Study for 10-12hrs a day as 4 months is not sufficient for a exam like gate. Devote most of your time in studying. Revise what you study. Sleep early and wake up early. Hope for the best.

see there are 6 months available for gate counting from august. if you want to learn new things and not compleyted some syllabus , complete it untill november. keep two months for giving mock test. see you need to regularly revise everything you studies, make a routine for study and keep track whatever you are practicing. i sure you may crack gate.

The GATE Exam for each paper covers more than 10 subjects and hence, it is difficult to prepare for the GATE exam in one or two months. Qs. Which subject should I prepare first in GATE syllabus?

Ans. Number of hours may vary from person to person for preparing for GATE. If you have already prepared all the subjects for previous GATE Exam, you may need to spend 2 to 3 hours for revision and practicing. It is a good idea to spend at least 5 to 6 hours for GATE preparation if you are attempting seriously.



In case you are preparing the GATE exam for the first time, then youd definitely require to put in more effort and number of hours in order to get comfortable with the pattern and syllabus.



Qs. Is it enough to prepare from one text book?



Ans. For a few subjects, preparing from one book may be sufficient. In GATE exam, the syllabus may be such that for a few subjects all the topics may not be covered in one text book. It may happen that the given information for a particular topic may not be sufficient in the same book. So choosing book and understanding syllabus of GATE exam is very important to decide whether one or two books are required for the subject.



Hence, it is advisable that you choose one or more text books based on the importance of the subject and the topics covered in it.



Qs. How much time is required to complete the GATE syllabus?



Ans. If you have a good knowledge base in computer science it will take aminimum of 3 months for the GATE preparation. If you are studying in the final year in under graduation, it will definitely take you more time.



It is necessary to start from the beginning of your final year of graduation and try to spend a minimum of 2 hours for preparation of GATE.

Ans. There is a difference between coaching institute material, standard books, and online resources.



If you prefer good coaching institute material, you may find the content only related to the syllabus but those materials may not have sufficient information.If you read text books, you will find a lot of information. It is highly suggested when you have enough time to face the GATE Exam and you are preparing self.Studying through online resources.
