Dear Aspirant, there are only two ways to get a seat at IIT. The first one is to qualify JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced with required cutoffs and the only other way is to complete BE/B.Tech studies from a good affiliated University and then appear for GATE examination. So the only difference is that if you qualify through JEE Advance you can pursue B.Tech at IIT and if you choose the second method you can pursue your M.Tech at IIT. These are the only two ways you can pursue particular course at IIT

Hello,

Yes you can get seat in IIT without qualifying  Joint Entrance Examination Advanced but not for B.Tech course. If you want to do B.Tech in IIT you have to give  Joint Entrance Examination Advanced there is no other way. But you can purse other courses in IITs through other exams like UCEED, CEED, CAT ETC for other courses like Design and MBA but for pursuing B.Tech you need to give Joint Entrance Examination Advanced.

Dear student,

First thing that you must remember in your mind that iit is Indian Institute of Technology and it is a government college and has a name all over the world.
Now if you want to get admission in IIT or want to take a seat in IIT you must have to secure a good rank in JEE advanced exam. without giving jee advanced exam and securing rank in it you cannot get any seat in any IIT.
And for giving jee advanced exam you must have to qualify your JEE mains exam.

So, if you want a seat in IIT then you have to complete two milestones or you can say barriers in your path -  firstly, you have to qualify JEE mains exam, then after qualifying JEE mains, you will become eligible to give jee advanced exam, then, secondly, you have to secure a good rank in JEE advanced exam and secure a good rank, after that you can get a seat in IIT.
