Dear Aspirant,
The very first thing you must do is stop the media consumption. Stop the news you are consuming, decrease the time you spend on consuming news and news from social media.
The other thing you can do is pick up a fiction novel, better if you go with series like harry potter, Lord of the Rings, etc. Just read light reading and fiction in my opinion is best. You can also read self help books like deep work, zero to one, etc.
You can also start developing some skill like cooking, it is very relaxing and will occupy your time.
The key is not motivating oneself but to stop getting demotivated and by following these steps, you will be able to concentrate on good things, things at present, and not the weird speculations of the media.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
