NEET 2025: College Predictor | Cutoff | Marks vs Rank
Latest: Allied and Health Sciences- Best Courses, Colleges & Career Options

Hello,
I hope you are doing good,
So it depends on your strength. If you can then you should. But there should be no regrets later. And if this is your first drop then giving one year entirely to preparations isn't a bad idea. One year is nothing when compared to your life.
But if you desperately want to enter MBBS then dropping a year is no way bad.
You can enrol in an alternate program degree and study along with the university, which will give you a backup choice. It is even better for medical entrance examinations because you can re-attempt the examination multiple times. This will decrease the burden on you to accomplish the task at hand, but on the other hand, maybe a source of disturbance, similar to school. This is where your willpower and self-restraint will play a part again. That would be time saving and you won’t be dropping a year. Nowadays most of the students are doing this way only. Important thing is that you should be able to manage time, you should be consistent and punctual while preparing. Focus less on graduation course and give more time for the preparation of Neet. Be confident enough and have hope on yourself.
Do regular revisions, give importance to each subject equally and also study from last years papers.
The choice of dropping a year or not is yours. Stay on the decision with absolute conviction. All the best!
