The syllabus of IIT JAM Physics includes topics namely Mathematical models, Mechanics and General Properties of Matter, Oscillations, Waves and Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, Kinetic theory, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics and Solid State Physics, Devices and Electronics. Schaum's Outlines series and Mathematical Methods for Physics & Engineering: Riley, Hobson & Bence cover the topic Mathematical Models. Quantum Mechanics by Zetili / Griffith / Schaums Series, Quantum Mechanics by MC Jain, Classical Mechanics by Kepler or Berclays, and HJ Pain are good books for Mechanical and General Properties of matter.
