Chemistry is one of the scoring subjects after biology, I feel. To score 100+ in chemistry, NCERT reference is a must !
As Chemistry is divided into 3 sections - Physical, Organic and Inorganic. You should study according to the weight age of a particular section.
Inorganic Chemistry has the highest weight age (38%-40%). Almost questions are directly picked from the NCERT and so only NCERT must be referred for to score more in the Inorganic part.
Organic Chemistry is more of concept based and so it's highly important to clear all the concepts before you start solving questions. The  mechanisms are a must to understand and the steps of it should be clear.  As every year 8 to10 questions are asked in the exam which are all concept based. Follow NCERT and practice questions given at the end of the chapter.
Physical Chemistry has both the theoretical + numericals solving and so the concepts should be studied and practiced from NCERT mainly. The more questions you solve, the more you'll get to know the level of concept-questions that can be asked in exam.
Most important chapters :
Organic Chemistry - Aldehydes, Ketones & Carboxylic Acids, Organic Chemistry- some basic principles & techniques, biomolecules.
Physical Chemistry- Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Bonding And Molecular Structure, Surface Chemistry, Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics.
Inorganic Chemistry-  p-block Elements, metallurgy, d- and f- block elements, coordination compounds, classification of elements & periodicity in properties.
Prepare topics and simultaneously practice the questions daily, as this will help you to understand the concept- question level more.
Plan your schedule and try to stick to it . Prepare targets for a set of chapters to be completed within a week and also revise.
Follow standard books - NCERT mainly for concepts and question solving. Refer them regularly. Make notes and re-revise.
Practice-solve 5 years question papers at least to get the question levels- patterns.
Watch videos and appear for mock tests online to check your preparation level for the exam.
Revise and recall everything that you study on a regular basis. This will help you remember all the concepts for a longer period.

The NCERT books(i.e. 11th and 12th)  are help you to develop your concept more clear, it helps to develop your basic knowledge and help to clear your doubts also. First go for the ncert books for neet preparation.

Most of the questions asked in the paper comes from the ncert books only little will comes from outside.

Apart from the ncert books some other books also help you.

• Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee
• Dinesh Chemistry Guide
• Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)

You should used ncert books and then if you want practice more than other books help you.

A very important question to ask … because we all know that chemistry is a scoring subject for NEET exam. In exams like NEET your main aim is to answer the questions (correctly) as many as possible.

CHEMISTRY PREPARATION

Step 1 : Very first step would be take a look at last year question papers and analyse properly from which section the most of the questions have been asked, what kind of questions being ask every year (i mean pattern). Don’t try to solve the questions just analyse the paper. this step is very important and should be first because it defines the direction of your preparation.

Step 2 : Now, read every chapter (physical too) from NCERT. Make proper notes of every chapter .

Step 3 : Understand derivations of every formula in case if you forget any formula, you can derive it by yourself . Similarly in the case of mechanisms, don’t try to learn the mechanism by-heart. Understand the mechanism and practice, by writing down 5 to 6 times each. You will automatically learn them .

Step 4 : Make a list of all the exceptions at one place.

Step 5 : Solve examples and back questions of NCERT. Mark those questions as doubt which you are not able to solve and ask them to your school teacher or coaching faculty .

Step 6 : If you get good command on NCERT then go to higher level books and solve their questions of every topic first.

Step 7 : Now start solving previous year chemistry section questions.

Step 8 : Must join any test series and start giving Mock tests weekly

And one more thing NCERT only will not help you in scoring but you should also refer the other materials also.
