Hello,

You  start your organic  chemistry preparation first with All name reactions given in the NCERT text book because sometimes they directly asked from their and then  solve all the problems given in the exercise .

After that solve  all previous year questions that has been asked from last 10 years.

Here  I am sharing some important name reactions from class 12th -:

1. Sandmeyer Reaction 2. Gattermann Reaction 3. Balz-Schiemann Reaction

4. Finkelstein Reaction 5. Swartz Reaction 6. Wurtz Reaction 7. Fitting Reaction

8. Wurtz - Fittig Reaction 9. Kolbe's Reaction 10. Reimer- Tiemann Reaction

Hello Sainadha ! It is possible to go through the entire course in just 5 days. The best books for quick recap according to me is NCERT, O.P. TANDON and ARIHANT.

The first thing you should cover is Genereal Organic Chemistry, it is the most basic chapter. You have to give importance to basic mechanisms and memorize the important reagents.

The other important chapters you should go through are:

  1. Isomerism.
  2. Halo-alkanes.
  3. Aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids.
  4. Alcohols.
  5. Nitrogen containing compounds.

All the best! If you have the will you can do it !

Hello,
Organic chemistry is the study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds, which include not only hydrocarbons but also compounds with any number of other elements.
This study requires lit of attention and interest to get it on mind.
And clearly 5 days are not enough to study organice chemistry.
I am not discouraging you, its our job to give you correct answer. You need to buckel up yourself.
But dont worry atleast you have 5 days so you need good teacher, attention, your whole mind and heart to this subject. Understanding basic equations and formation.
You do  basics and there you go for atleast familiar to subject.
All the best.

Hi ,

First of all organic chemistry is a vast course. It's quite not possible to complete in 5 days. And if you are having a stipulated time then make a time table and divide the course into 5 parts.Main focus of your's will be named reactions. Then continue with the rest . Don't skip bio molecules and chemistry in everyday life.

ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR EXAMS!!!
