Yes obviously you can get seat in general category.  General category is for all candidates irrespective of categories. Candidates having any extra category gets special quota seats like EWS.

As you say that you are belonging from ews category, so it doesn't mean that you are not getting seat, the neet exam is totally based on your marks.. If you are getting qualify marks according to the criteria of neet, you are eligible for getting admission in medical college either its government or private..
This year the ews cuttoff has increased as comparison to the previous year cuttoff from 701-134 in 2019 to this year is 720-147 in 2020..
So, I if you got marks according ti the ews cuttoff you are eligible for theneet counseling, and according to your marks and rank you will get college..
