540 marks is good enough to get admission in govt. colleges but it depends upon the colleges and your caste and domicile state also.
Last year students who got 520+ marks in NEET were able to get admission in govt medical colleges.
This year the cut off may change as it depends upon a lot of factors like no. of seats in the college, no. of candidates applied, difficulty level of the exam etc.

hello, you have a good score to start with. You will definitly qualify the NEET and get an MBBS seat, though the college will depend upon what rank you get. According to last years statistics there are good chances of you getting a seat in government medical colleges. all the best.
