Hello.
if you are a BSc student and after doing MSc or MCA you want to give GATE exam so I am suggesting you to prepare from the very first day because you are going in a different Path, which may be different in the comparison of the syllabus of GATE exam so along with the study of your bachelor you should give a part of your time to the study for GATE syllabus, if you want to give GATE exam in computer science stream then MCA will be better after your bachelor , and Msc. in Computer science will also be better, if you want to give GATE exam in another stream then you can pursue MSc in any of the subject.
