IPMAT is a national level test which is conducted by Indian Institute of Management Indore. Its a five year regular undergraduate academic programme.

To prepare for IPMAT exam you need to set a plan to prepare for the exams.Best way to start would be to read all the current news. It can be any news national and international. You should maintain a notebook. You should learn and revise everyday what you studied.

For preparation you should have a preparartion stratergy. You need to work harder on verbal and writing skills.

IPMAT consists of 3 sectors. 

1. Aptitude( 40 questions), this sector comprises of maths ranging from class 10 to 12 and a bit basics physics(mainly from 9th and 10th), mental ability questions.

2.Integer type ( 10 questions, non negative), this could be anything , can be either maths or mental ability or any general question.

3. Verbal( 40 questions), jumbled, adjective, fill in the blanks etc . *

There are many books available by Pearson or any prime publisher. Apart from that do look for online test papers and mock test papers. There are couple of paid practise papers but they make you practise both section and topic wise and allow one to strenghten accordingly.
