If you are studying in Class 11 Commerce under WBBSE board, then admission to NIT Durgapur is not possible. NITs offer admission mainly to B.Tech programs through the JEE Main exam, which requires Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in 10+2. Since you are from the Commerce stream, you are not eligible for JEE Main. However, after Commerce you can choose other good options like B.Com, BBA, CA, CS, CMA, MBA or reputed universities and colleges for commerce-related courses.

To join NIT Durgapur for an undergraduate program, the main entry is through JEE Mains, which requires a science background in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 11 and 12. Since you are currently in Commerce stream under WBBSE board, unfortunately you will not be eligible for B.Tech admission in NITs because Mathematics and Science are compulsory. If you still want to be part of NIT Durgapur, there are other options you can consider. NITs also have MBA programs for which you can apply after completing graduation in Commerce (like B.Com, BBA, etc.) and clearing exams such as CAT. Another option could be pursuing MSc Economics or related fields if offered, depending on your graduation path. My suggestion is to first complete your Class 12 with good marks in Commerce, pursue your undergraduate course, and then plan accordingly. You have time, so research all possible career pathways.
