That is unlikely to happen. Candidates are shorlisted based on their GATE score and the cut off depends on number of vacancies , number of candidates applied, number of candidates appeared in a particular paper etc. The shortlisted candidates need to verify their documents and attend a personal interview. 85% weightage is given for GATE score and 15% weightage is given for personal interview. And a final merit is prepared. If you aren't shortlisted based on your GATE score then you may not get another chance. You may have to look for some other alternative.
