1-For 75% seats they will take admission through jee mains
2-For 25% seats they will take admission through their own entrance.
Through jee mains it's easy to get into this college as the cut off is not high. A candidate can get this even with a rank of 1-1.5L

As far as B.Tech (4years) is concerned, Assam University, Silchar has 2 modes of entry.
For 75% seats, Assam University conducts admissions on basis of JEE Main Rank.
For the Rest 25% Seats, School of Technology at Assam University conducts its own entrance exam.

Admission in B.Tech is done in two ways -
Further for B. Tech. courses 50% of the total seats in each department are reserved for the students of the Northeastern region. The Northeastern region is comprised of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
