Yes ! Since the past many years, students who wanted to study MBBS but couldn't do so in India because of the practically inhuman competition in Indian medical entrances, or due to other reasons ('other reasons', they say. Just kidding though) have chosen Singapore as their study destination.

Singapore has a pretty strong South East Asian community, owing to the several Indians and Sri Lankans studying there.

It offers several top notch courses, which if not better, are at par with the courses offered, in the States.

The exorbitant amount of 'fees' in private colleges makes this seem like a much better option.

The course is taught in English.

The cost of living and tuition fees is less than that in the UK and the US.

Zero tolerance to racism and drugs.

It's a pretty safe country for students given its strict law enforcement.

The only downside that I can possibly see is lack of exposure to patients, well that would be everywhere except India. And homesickness.

Thanks,
Azim
