The courses that you need to persue to be eligible for the scholarship are:

B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M. Sc (http://m.sc/) ./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

As you can see B.tech is not in the list. You are ONLY ELIGIBLE for the scholarship if you persue honours (UG and PG) in pure science subjects.
