NEET 2021 has reservations meant for candidates belonging to categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, ST, GEN-EWS and PwD.

As per the latest update on NEET-UG 2021 reservation criteria, the union government has decided to provide 27% reservation to Other Backward Class (OBC) and 10% reservation to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) under the All India Quota (AIQ) scheme.

Also there is are reservation benefits for SC/ST category students as following-

• 15% seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST).

Also there is no reservation meant for General category students, so if you qualify for EWS reservation, you should get an EWS certificate made as soon as possible, as you can maximize your chances of getting into college by EWS certificate.

So if you wish to qualify as an EWS candidate, your family MUST NOT own any of the below mentioned things-

• Annual income of the family more than 8,00,000

•5 acres of agricultural land and above

• Residential flat of 1000 sq ft. and above

• Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities

• Residential plot of 200 sq yards and above in areas others than the notified municipalities
