Well since there are only 200 seats in JIPMER and lakhs of appearing candidates to get a admission there in no other go than coming in top 200 or somewhere near to that at least.

As per JIPMER MBBS Cut Off 2018 , candidates belonging to general category are required to score equivalent to a minimum of 50 th percentile in order to qualify JIPMER MBBS entrance exam. However, SC/ST/OBC category candidates are required to score at least 40 th percentile as per JIPMER MBBS Cut Off 2018
