Civil services examination is conducted by UPSC and it is India one of the toughest exam so make sure you are willing to take the exam. You can pursue IAS examination anytime, provided that the upper age limit for appearing in IAS examination is 32 years. So, if you are giving the last attempt of your life (Maybe that's your first), you can still have a lot of time to come out as an IAS officer with flying colours.

• You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years (for the General category candidate) on 1 August of the year of examination. Prescribed age limits vary with respect to caste reservations.
• You must have a bachelor's degree in any, discipline from a recognised university.
