i can hear from my left ear perfectly as my right ear has been blocked since brith .I passed out +2 examination via cbse without any hearing aid .I neither feel to be deaf or hard of hearing, please tell me if I will be classified under PWD categoryfor NEET exam?ihavent obtainedany pwd certificate

PWD reservation in NEET is not a vertical reservation. It is a horizontal reservation within the Category you belong to. For example, if you belong to General Category and you have PWD reservation, then you come under UR-PWD. It is OBC-PWD, SC-PWD and ST-PWD. To be eligible for PWD reservation in NEET, you should have 40% of auditory disability. Deaf and hard of hearing are the 2 conditions under Hearing disability to qualify for PWD reservation in NEET. But if you are neither of them, we would suggest you to reach out to a District Medical Hospital and get a test done. Because the inability to hear might be due to neurological or any other underlying causes. If it is a neurological cause and it is less than 40%, you will be eligible for PWD reservation. Because this needs to be evaluated for the degree of disability (if any) to avail reservation, we would suggest you to check with the nearest District Medical Hospital because they are the ones who issue PWD certificate during NEET Counselling.

According to the guidelines of NEET 2020 you will be classified as pwd only when you have a pwd certificate else not . Also if you wish to opt for pwd category you would need pwd certificate that is submitted while registration process.
