Hi Nithish,

One of the courses you can do even after 1-2 years of gap is engineering. If the gap is of 1 year, then you can sit for JEE Main and then JEE Advanced. These exams are for B.Tech courses in IITs and NITs, the most prestigious engineering colleges in India. Bear in mind that you can sit for JEE Main after 1st gap year and after 2nd gap year, but for JEE Advanced, you are given only 1 attempt after class 12th.

JEE Main ranks are used to allot seats in NIT(also in  IIITs and other Government Institutes).

JEE Advanced ranks are used to allot seat in IITs.

IIT brand is world famous and getting a B.Tech degree from an IIT has a lucrative profile and salary, if you manage to work hard in IIT.

You can also do Management after IIT, from an IIM. That will skyrocket your already well-off profile, and your salary will be given a huge boost. IIM takes admission by the CAT(Common Admission Test). You can also appear for CAT while being in a college, or doing job.

Thanks.

Hey,
You dropped a year then, you must be preparing for some competitive examination. Since you are from PCMB background,so I assume,by default that you must have dropped for Medical or Engineering presumably, because of family pressure or so.
See,to be frank, dropping a year or two hardly matters as you could still go for Bachelors in any stream of your choice from any college. But,first off be sure of your calling. There are of course,so many things to do but you can't be doing it all at a time. You definitely need a direction. Since, you want lucrative career,so  for MBA or Charterd Accountancy or Law. But,wherever you go,you need to work really hard as there is no such thing as "shortcut to success".
Hope this helps you.
Good luck.
