Hi Rajesh,

You can appear for GATE exam. PSU interviews are not concerned about how many backlogs you have, unless they are cleared before you attend the interview with minimum 60% marks or equivalent points on CGPA scale, in aggregate of all Semesters (relaxed to minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD category candidates). In your case, as it is extended to one more year it may be quetioned. If you give them relevant answer, chances of getting hired may increase.
