Hello Aspirant,

Scoring or not scoring is not important, what matters at the end of the day is your effort.Sometimes things just don't go our way but it's ok.It's ok to fail once you fail you will enjoy the taste of your success even more.I have been at your place so I know how it feels. My physics teacher once told me "A hard working student will succeed no matter what" and this is not the end there will be 1000000 more opportunities, this is just the beginning, don't be depressed over this.I have seen NITians IITians earn less than a student from a SGFTI.Don't let one exam decide your capability. There is absolutely no need to be depressed over this.

As far as dropping or taking admission is considered it is something that depends on you solely you,if you believe that you can put in more effort and do better than this then go for it.

As far as preparation is concerned first begin by getting ready for it mentally, take some time off, relax yourself,I know what normally people go through during such a time.Someone once told me that the number of trees a wood cutter with a blunt axe will cut is way less than the no. of trees he will cut with a sharp axe.Purpose of this? Your mind is like the axe concentration,stable,uni-directional are the qualities which make it sharp.

Start by preparing a time-table,make sure you include proper sleep in your schedule(6-7 hours) and make sure you don't include sleep in time when you could probably be having exam seating.

Practice previous year's questions and enroll yourself in mock test examinations, because practice will make you perfect.

Analyse your mistakes you know where you messed up this time, try to fix that so that you won't make the same mistake again.

About books you have prepared for this exam once you know which books to follow but still I will suggest you some books

(I) PHYSICS

(a) Concepts of Physics by HC Verma (Volume 1 & 2)- Helps you to build your foundation

(b) Understanding Physics by DC Pandey (A Set of 5 books)

(c) Fundamentals of Physics by Resnick and Halliday

In case you are done with these books or find them easy, you may refer to "Problems in General Physics by Igor Irodov."

(II) MATHEMATICS

(a) Objective Mathematics ( Volume 1 and 2) by R.D Sharma

(b) Arihant Skills in Mathematics by Dr. SK Goyal (A set of 7 books)

(c) Mathematics by Amit M Agarwal

(III) CHEMISTRY

(a) NCERT textbook for Chemistry is more than sufficient for inorganic chemistry also and developing concepts for physical chemistry.

However, if one wants to brush up their skills even more they can go for Chemistry books of Balaji Publications.

But you see all the books have the same concepts thing is whose language you find easier.

NOTE: Remember at the end of the day if your concepts are clear no question will ever be your hurdle.Clear your concepts.

Concepts+practice+determination+confidence=Unstoppable.

Remember hard work beats talent.

Also don't stay too caught up in your past.In Russia they say "The shark that does not swim, drowns".I hope you go this.If you still need more help feel free to ask for my e-mail.

Regards and ALL THE BEST
