Hello aspirant,

Inorder, to get a seat in any branch in NIT,Warangal your ST Category rank should be less than 5000 except for Bio technology whose cut off rank is around 10,000.

Based on your percentile score and caste category I will list out the top colleges for you along with the branch you can get there-
  • DTU(Mechanical,EEE, IT,ECE, Production and industrial)
  • NSIT( ECE, Mechanical,Manufacturing and automation)
  • IIIT,Delhi( CSE)

Hi Dasa.

Even though we can't predict absolutely about anything without the actual cutoffs, but according to last year's cutoffs (2019), with 88 percentile in January JEE Mains 2020 and an ST category, you can surely get a seat in NIT Warangal. You can get a seat into any other top NIT too.

The ST ranking Round 1 OS closing cutoffs for NIT Warangal were as follows-

  • Bio Technology : 1893
  • Chemical Engineering : 1242
  • Civil Engineering : 456
  • Computer Science and Engineering : 129
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering : 714
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering : 467
  • Mechanical Engineering : 493
  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering : 1621

In 2019, the cut offs for NIT Warangal for ST Category  for various branches have been as follows:

Bio Technology: 1224

Chemical: 874

CSE: 217

ECE: 425

Mechanical: 821

Metallurgical: 824

EEE: 445

Let's calculate your rank with your percentile. Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 104281. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.

These might be Category speccific ranks and the one we mentioned is your AIR rank. Going by the previous cut offs, you will need to have Category specific rank of atleast under 1500 for a seat in NIT Warangal. And the cut offs are different for Home State Candidates and Other State Candidates. Now to predict colleges, please use our college predictor:
